Attic Conversion in Glasnevin

The attic was converted into a room. Because, there was a need for living space in the house.

Our steps:

We suspended the attic floor with 2 steel beams.

We made one dormer with tiles for the stairs.

We made the other dormer with a flat roof for more space in the room.

We made a small depositing space.

We fitted new stairs.

We put 100mm Kingspan insulated between the rafter.

We put 500mm insulated plasterboard.

We plastered.

We fitted new laminate and architraves, skirting and trims.

We fitted a new door.

We painted.

There is about 25 square meters free space for deposit.

Composite deck in Clonshaugh

The old timber deck was very rotten and slippery due to its old age. It was very dangerous. Therefore, there had to be a new deck composite installed.

Our steps:

We got rid of the old deck.

We leveled the soil. After that, we put a concrete post, to anchor the treated timber frame.

We put a weed membrane on top of the soil, to protect the deck from any weeds that might grow in the future.

We fitted the new composite deck with special clips.

A composite deck is better than a normal deck, because, it does not require any maintenance while also preventing any slipping. Likewise, its color is everlasting no matter how long time passes.

First fixing in Dublin 3

The construction needed first fixing.

Ground Floor:

We made new timberframes 4 x 2.

We put OSB 3 for the floor.

First Floor and Extension:

We made new timberfames 9 x 2.

We put OSB 3 for the floor.

Second Floor:

We put new timberfames 9 x 2.

We put OSB 3 for the floor.

Roof:

We put a steel beam in the centre and made a new timberframe 6 x 2.
